Ideas
Hey im making a guitar but i am having a hard time figuring out how to get something to tune the strings with. Can anyone help?
ask some of the band kids, some of them have tuners for their instruments. If not, then go to the band room and ask Mr. Higgins (band teacher) and see if he'll let you use the tuner.
Just by makig certain strings tighter than others, you can make certain strings play higher notes. So basically, the tighter you have them, the higher they'll play. Just create a different tension for each string.
Well if you are talking about something that will tell you if your instrument is in tune or not, there was a previous post talking about a program that supposedly works very well.
If you click on Tuning Software on the right hand archives, you can view the thread.
If you look online as long as the top string is in tune you can tune the rest using a set pattern. By holding onto a string it should sound like the previous string.

ReplyDeleteTry using eye screws (i think that is what they are called). You can get them cheap from Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowe's, or any hardware store.
